Welcome to Indira Gandhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IGIPS), Bhubaneswar. The college was established in 1987 under the dynamic leadership of Dr. G. C. Nayak, a legend visionary in this field who constantly aspired to provide quality education and built it as one of the premier pharmacy institutions in the state. I feel proud to note that our college has been offering education and training in various facets of pharmacy curriculum over past three decades by preparing quality pharmacists with professional capabilities to reach growing demand of health professionals in our healthcare system. The college is duly approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, affiliated to Odisha University of Health Sciences, Bhubaneswar and Odisha State Board of Pharmacy, Bhubaneswar. At present, the college offers D. Pharm, B. Pharm and M. Pharm courses in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacology, Drug Regulatory Affairs, and Pharmaceutical Analysis as specializations.

The college offers awesome infrastructural facilities including well modernized classrooms, laboratories, library, and internet facility as per the requirements of the statutory bodies. The knowledge of our students and the faculty are constantly monitored by allowing them to organize/participate in various guest lectures, conferences, seminars and workshops etc. I am pleased to share on this platform that every year many students qualify GPAT examination and many of them prefer to continue their Post graduate programmes in our college which in turn reflects quality education offered by our college. We believe that the success of a student cannot be just evaluated by his/her examination result, but there is a greater need to develop professional skill. With the tremendous growth of pharma industries across the globe and implementation of industry 4.0 manufacturing concepts (Pharma 4.0), the students are trained accordingly to meet global challenges.
