Overview

The objective of the Grievance Redressal/Disciplinary Committee is to develop a responsive and accountable attitude among all the stakeholders in order to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere in the institute. The Committee is responsible for maintaining highest standards of discipline in the college campus. The Committee has been constituted for the redressal of the problems reported by the students and staff of the institute. The committee will safeguard the rights of female students, faculty and staff members. A Suggestion/Complaint Box has been installed in front of the Office in which the students, who want to remain anonymous, put in writing their grievances and their suggestions for improving the Academics/Administration in the institute.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • All the grievances of the students/staff which could not be settled in the routine process should be referred to this committee.
  • Committee tries to settle the issues amicably in a time bound manner.
  • Introduces a reasonable and reliable solution for grievances of various issues received from students/parents/staff.
  • Ensures that the grievances are resolved on time impartially and confidentially.
  • Resolves Eve-teasing incidents in the campus and the college buses.
  • Resolves the issues of inappropriate behavior towards women staff and girl students.
  • Equips the female students, faculty and staff members with the knowledge of their legal rights.
  • Provides a platform for listening to complaints and redressal of grievances.
  • Maintains discipline in the institute by corrective or punitive action against acts of indiscipline and disruption by the students in the institute premises.
  • Counsels the indiscipline students.
  • Assists the college anti-ragging committee in preventing ragging in the college and to spread anti-ragging campaign throughout the students community.
