Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry offers knowledge on the chemical nature of the drug molecules where the students learn about synthesis, purification, identification and analysis of various drugs and other pharmaceutical compounds. The department has four well-furnished laboratories each specialising on a particular branch of pharmaceutical chemistry. The laboratories are a crucial facility for understanding the chemical nature of the drugs, their synthesis and analysis in a systematic way to its students. The laboratories are equipped with instruments like spectrophotometers, fluorimeter, nephlo-turbido meter, flame photometer, digital balances, pH meters, conductivity meters, polarimeter etc. which helps students gain practical knowledge and skills and provides a platform for research in pharmaceutical chemistry.
