Diploma-D. Pharm

Diploma in Pharmacy(D. Pharm)

Admission Process:

Admission into Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) is managed by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Govt. of Odisha. The candidates must register and submit applications online, followed by document verification and counselling fee payment. Admission is primarily based on a merit list prepared by the
D. Pharm Selection Committee, with some seats reserved for management quotas. 

Duration of the Course: 2 years

  • The duration of the course shall be for two academic years. Each academic year shall be spread over a period of not less than one hundred and eighty (180) working days.

Eligibility criteria:

  • A pass in 10+2 examination (science academic stream) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.

Course of study:

            The course of study for D. Pharm shall include the subjects, number of hours in a week devoted to each subject for its teaching in theory, practical and tutorial as may be prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India from time to time.

Practical Training:

            The student is required to undergo practical training of five hundred (500) hours of practical training spread over a period of not less than three months after completion of 2nd year course.

Attendance and progress:

A candidate is required to put in at least 80% attendance in individual courses considering theory and practical separately. The candidate shall complete the prescribed course satisfactorily to be eligible to appear for the respective examinations.
